Introduction
We are living in an era where every piece of information is readily available at our fingertips. With billions of websites online today, there is a lot of information on the Internet. Search engines make this information easier to find. So today, I would take this opportunity to talk about a time when I was desperately searching for information.
When & where you searched for information?
I searched for information last year in October. And mainly, I was looking at product review websites.
What information you needed to search for?
October is a month of the festive season in India and as such, I was looking to buy a new smartphone. I checked out sites like Flipkart and Amazon to find deals but instead, they left me confused. There were so many iPhone models making it hard to choose one.
So I opened another tab to browse GSMarena, which is a great cellphone review website, to help me out.
Explain why you needed to search for it?
My old phone dropped off a cliff and got broken. Therefore I needed to search for a new one. Moreover, the discounts were raining heavily. So I thought why shouldn’t I take the benefit of doorbuster deals?
Concluding the Cue Card
People may now find the information they need at any time of the day or night thanks to search engines like Google. These searches are frequently for goods and services that users are interested in. Before the internet, people like me had to physically visit the store, speak with a salesperson, and trust their salesperson’s judgement in order to make a purchase.
So, that’s all I had to say about a time when I needed to search for information.

MODEL ANSWER 2
The internet has greatly facilitated our life, particularly when it comes to information searches. Everything is just a click away! So today, I would like to speak about a time when I searched for an important piece of information.
My Environment instructor assigned me a project in the 12th grade that required me to write about sources of Green Energy. I was prohibited from using the internet as part of the project’s requirements.
This made me clueless as to how to look for it. I became aware of how reliant on the internet I had grown as a result. It seemed essential to my survival.
I then sought counsel from my parents. They advised me that I may go to the neighbourhood library. I might find some old newspapers and articles there that can be useful.
I called the library, but they said the majority of the articles and old newspapers have been posted on their website. Thankfully, the librarian found last week’s journal which had a noteworthy article on different sources of Green energy.
So, that’s all about a time when I needed to search for an information.
