About 11 years ago, my husband got rejected his work permit twice then we met Alex to seek for our last chance to get work permit visa. However, we ended up getting permanant resident because Alex found the best option for applying PR at that time for our case. It took more than a year to get PR since we applied PNP. But when immigration of Canada requested in person interview in their office, Alex was with my husband to support him and we got positive result for our PR.
It has been 10 years since that time and now I got my canadian citizenship few years ago.
I have been living very well in Canada with my kids. Happy life. Thanks Alex. I don’t think you would remember me. Through my case, some people asked about your lawer office and I am happy to give your information to them for their hope to be real in Canada.Sue Kim

My wife and I utilized Kahlon Immigration Law beginning in February 2021. We had a short courtship of only less than 3 months before we decided to get married in January 2021. My wife was here under a visitor visa in Canada that had recently been turned down for renewal multiple times during the height of Covid19. Our case was difficult and complex but, with the help of Naseeb Kahlon and Bonnie Chan from Kahlon Immigration Law we decided to get the process started.
We started with the typical paperwork and at times it was frustrating because we had to add a lot of details to prove that our relationship was legitimate with such a short courtship. However, in the end, Kahlon Law did an excellent job with a concise Permanent Residency Application. Naseeb even offered to review and submit an argument to Immigration Canada for a re-review of my wife”s status in Canada as a Visitor. We were not expecting any fast decisions as each time we looked at the processing times they were over a year away.
For example when we looked in September 2021 after we submitted our final PR the Government was still working on June 2020 applications. We were not expecting any decision until Sept 2023. Surprisingly, with the impressive research, legal arguments and paperwork submitted by Kahlon Law, my wife was approved for her Permanent Residency status after only 5.5 months.
We received a decision in late February 2023. I strongly recommend Naseeb and her team for all your PR and Visitor restoration statuses or Immigration concerns. Having someone who knows what they are doing, knows the law and is on your side is highly recommended.Roger Simmons

5 Factors to Consider When Choosing Vancouver Immigration Lawyer
There are five main things to consider when choosing an immigration lawyer in Vancouver, including:
- Is the person for the job a licensed Canadian immigration lawyer or consultant?
- What level of expertise does he or she possess?
- What assortment of services does the immigration lawyer provide?
- Does the lawyer have a direct stake in your case? Is it simple to reach the attorney?
- Do you get along well with the lawyer personally? Your personalities seem to mesh well, don’t they?
Immigration Lawyer v/s Immigration Consultant
To represent immigrants before the Canadian immigration authorities, one must be a licensed immigration lawyer or consultant. These two jobs are very distinct from one another, though.
Compared to immigration consultants, being an immigration lawyer is far more challenging. Before entering law school, a lawyer typically needs a three-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university. They must then attend school for at least three years in order to obtain a law degree. After that, they must complete a few more months of practical training under the guidance of an experienced attorney. In contrast, immigration consultants just need to pass a very simple exam after completing a short-term course.
Thus, becoming qualified as a lawyer takes at least seven-eight years, whereas becoming qualified as a consultant only takes a year or less.
Furthermore, due to their ability to represent their clients, lawyers are also able to contest immigration officers’ rulings in Federal Courts. Immigration consultants are significantly less effective at protecting their client’s interests if the authorities take any action that is improper because they are unable to file a lawsuit.
Frequently Asked Questions
The cost of a Vancouver immigration lawyer might vary greatly. Experience is a significant consideration; for example, a 30-year veteran lawyer will likely cost more than a newbie straight out of law school.

Before choosing an immigration lawyer, be vigilant and conduct background checks if you find a significant difference in the prices that have been quoted.
In the end, the cost of your immigration lawyer will primarily rely on your individual needs.
