IELTS Speaking Part 1 – WINDOW VIEW [Answers + Band 9 Vocabulary]

In IELTS Speaking Part 1, there will be a Question & Answer session between the candidate and the examiner around a specific topic, such as Window view in this case. The examiner will also ask some general questions in the beginning about the candidate, for instance, about where you live, where you work, study etc.

Part 1 focuses on the ability to share personal information and opinions on everyday life. There is no fixed quota of questions and the examiner is free to ask any number of questions. It lasts for around 4-5 minutes.

What scenery can you see from the window of your room?

It’s unfortunate that we’re living in a crowded town so there isn’t much to see besides lots of traffic. But on weekends, I go to cabin that my family owns near Jim Corbett National Park. The window of my room at the cabin offers picturesque views. There’s small mystical lake nearby which I can clearly see up in my cabin plus the area surrounded by trees which is just perfect for bird watching.

Do you like to watch the scenery from your window?

Yes.. indeed! I love the views from my window. I am a nature lover and every time when I look outside of my window I see magnificent gifts of nature, unseen bird species, pollution free surroundings. The place is like heavenly abode for me.

Do you want to live in a house with beautiful window views?

Yes I am keen to relocate to a house or cabin surrounded by nature. It may sound funny, but I would like to own a tree house in the jungles of Amazon where I could record wildlife activities from my window.

How do you feel when you can’t see any beautiful view from your window?

Well, obviously I would be unhappy if I see only monotonous stuff from my window. A beautiful view provides us with healing, restores our souls from tiredness, and lifts our spirits!
