Introducing a place you visited

There is no better joy in this world than spending a nice vacation having our friends and family by our side. So today, I’d take this opportunity to reflect on one such good holiday that I spent with my grandparents.

Where it is?

I travelled from Ludhiana to Chandigarh to visit my grandmother. Her house is very beautiful and it is located in the middle of the city. When compared to our cramped city apartments, grandma’s house was a large mansion with numerous rooms for living, dining, pooja and storage. This time when we went to meet her, I also found her lovely garden full of exotic flowers.

When you went there?

Actually, last weekend, my exams went over and I was free. So the whole family cash in on the opportunity and planned the holiday trip to our ancestral place.

What you did there?

The weather there was very pleasant during our trip. So first day, we all went for a picnic to the lakeside. In the later hours of the day, I watched our old family photos & videos and played Sudoku; which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Next day, We went to our Marigold farm located at a nearby village with my grandfather. I was amazed to see the landscape, it was huge! Grandfather has also kept Honey bee’s in small wooden boxes which scared me for a while; but I must say – the honey was delicious. On our way back, we bought cakes and pastries for the celebration.

Explain why you went there?

The sole reason for visiting grandma’s house was to celebrate her 90th birthday. The whole surprise was penned down by my father and successfully executed by the rest of us. When we sang ‘Happy Birthday’, She was smiling like the morning light of sunshine. I captured every bit of emotion in the video. After all, it was such a nice evening after a long time.

Concluding the cue card

In the end I’d just tell you that… if there’s anything that can beat a chocolate cream pie or a million dollar cheque, it’s visit to grandparents and make them feel super important!
