Introduction

Social media is one of the greatest communication marvel of technology. It has become a seemingly ubiquitous part of our everyday life.

I am literally a big fan of Social networks and so today, I’d take this opportunity to talk about an instance when I was blown away by the power of social media.

When it was?

It was few days back, Sunday I guess! I was surfing internet on my phone as usual when I stumbled upon a pop up notification about a post that was being heavily shared on social media.

Where you saw it?

I saw the viral post on Twitter. Actually, I am an avid follower of Twitter threads especially the top trending hashtags, which you normally see on the right side of your Twitter profile page.

What you saw?

The viral post was about UFO sightings that had been confirmed by US Intelligence & NASA. It was fascinating to see the exclusive video captured by US Air Force pilots providing substantial proof of the Alien’s existence.

The post got massive 1B+ shares on social media and trending at the 1st spot in global trends.

Explain why you think it was interesting?

It was spellbound by the social media post because I was a non-believer of extraterrestrial species. Before that I thought they were mere conspiracy theories, but the video confirmed the authenticity and engrossed me completely.

Conclusion

In the end I’d just say that… social media is a powerful weapon. It has the potential to challenge our beliefs with just one click of a share button.

What do you think about making friends on social networking sites?

Well..I think it’s a double-edged sword! On one side social media help us connect with strangers and fortify relationships. While on the other side, not every connection results into a bond. In fact, people are now highly vulnerable to online frauds in the name of friendship on social media sites.
