Barbecue or Cooking (IELTS Speaking Part-1)
In the IELTS Speaking Part-1 Barbecue/Cooking topic, there will be a Question & Answer session between the candidate and the examiner with 5-6 questions at most.
The examiner will also ask some general questions at the beginning about the candidate, for instance, about where you live, where you work, study etc.
The questions that you need to answer are:
- Do you(Indians) like Barbecue?
- Would you like to have a barbecue with your friends or your family?
- What kind of food is your favourite in barbecue?
- Did you have experienced barbecue when you were a child?
1. Do you(Indians) like Barbecue?
Barbecues are an integral part of our Indian culture. Our love for barbecues can easily be seen during our family gatherings. It is incontrovertible that it’s fun to cook over the fire and the deliciousness of food is unmatchable.
or
Barbeque is a popular dish among Indians. It’s known as a Tandoor in India, and it’s a cylindrical clay oven heated with charcoal or wood. This imparts a roasted flavour to the food. Restaurants typically have large tandoors, but most people have a small tandoor at home. In Northern India, it is quite popular.
2. Would you like to have a barbecue with your friends or your family?
Honestly speaking, I enjoy having a barbecue with both my family and friends.I relish the prospect of teaming with them and cooking chicken Kebabs on a barbecue grill.
or
I would like to have barbecue with both family and friends. We are a closely-knitted family and most of my friends know my parents and siblings.
3. What kind of food is your favourite in barbecue?
Tandoori chicken is my best-loved barbecue foods. Chicken is marinated in yogurt and Indian spices and then cooked on skewers in the tandoor. I also like grilled flatbread or Naan that is made by sticking the dough directly on the walls of the hot clay oven.
or
That’s an interesting question! Because if I start naming the foods it would take me a day or two. But since you’ve asked this question then let me tell you my most treasured food is Guilt free barbecue chicken, For all those counting calories, this recipe is just the ticket.
4. Did you have experienced barbecue when you were a child?
We didn’t cook barbeque at home when I was a kid because we didn’t have a tandoor or a grill. I do recall eating it in restaurants and obtaining takeout from neighbouring street food sellers, though.
or
No, I haven’t had the luxury of experiencing barbecue during my childhood. I only saw barbecuing in the movies where Englishmen grill their famous dishes in the wild.
