In IELTS Speaking Part 1, there will be a Question & Answer session between the candidate and the examiner around a specific topic, such as Singing in this case. The examiner will also ask some general questions in the beginning about the candidate, for instance, about where you live, where you work, study etc.
Part 1 focuses on the ability to share personal information and opinions on everyday life. There is no fixed quota of questions and the examiner is free to ask any number of questions. It lasts for around 4-5 minutes.

Do you often (like to) sing?
I sing when I feel like it, and that’s usually relatively often. I sing in the car with my friends, in the shower, and sometimes whenever, just in the house. At times I have a phone recording session where I pick out some songs and just do a one-shot or two-shots using the voice memo feature.
What kinds of music do you like to sing?
Mostly I like to sing soft, romantic songs to feel the vibes of love. I think this genre of music resonates well with my personality. I usually do my daily chores while singing
Do you want to be a singer?
Actually I never thought about becoming a singer! Singing is my hobby, it acts as a medicine to calm my nerves. If I get the right mentorship, may be I could turn out to be a singer in the future.
Will you take singing lessons in the future?
Yes, I am planning to take singing lessons and also want to learn Guitar in the future. I think I have it in me, it’s just that I lack proper guidance.
