Introducing a competition you would like to take part in

• I have dreamed of participating in some international competition since childhood. Back then, I took part in various state-level competitions and had been quite successful.
• So today, I would love to talk about my aspiration of participating in a world-level competition.

What kind of competition it is?

• “Olympics” is what I’m talking about!
• It is a major international multi-sport event normally held once every four years.
•  The International Olympic Committee (IOC) organises the Games and oversees the host city’s preparations. In each Olympic event, gold medals are awarded for first place, silver medals are awarded for second place, and bronze medals are awarded for third place.
• Unquestionably, it is regarded as the largest and most prestigious international competition in the world.

What would you do in this competition?

• I would like to take part in Badminton. I know the basics of badminton well, and my fitness level and reflexes are quite good.
• Moreover, I’ve been playing this game for the last 10-12 years.

When I was in school, I participated in a variety of competitions. But today I’d like to tell you about a competition in which I’ve always been an audience member and would like to participate.

The competition I’m referring to is a Drawing contest. Every year, an art and craft show is held in my hometown. This was organised by the local Club in December. Other competitions such as mono-acting, poetry reciting, flower arranging, salad decoration, and painting were also organised.

Individuals were permitted to participate via schools that could send their pupils. My classmate took part in the tournament and won first place. The award was a wonderful trophy and a copy of Nobel laureate Rabinder Nath Tagore’s book “Gitanjali.”

Drawing and painting are two of my favourite pastimes. So I’d like to enter a drawing competition to show off my abilities. Because the organisers will provide everything, I only need to focus on displaying my creativity through sketches.

My hometown is mostly famous for Kabaddi tournaments. Participants from all over the world take part in the game and show their skills. Besides Kabaddi, Cricket and Hockey are two other hyper-competitive sports that have gained massive popularity in my city during the last decade or so.

In my hometown, there are numerous tournaments. During the yearly environmental festival, there are competitions in various activities such as weight lifting, dance, painting, sketching, science presentation, essay writing competition, debates, and so on. Dog exhibitions and competitions are very popular in my hometown.

4. Why do you think there are many competition programs on TV today?

I think this is largely because people feel attached to the competitive programs. By watching contestants make poor decisions, viewers develop their own opinions or thoughts while studying them in different situations. That’s why the love of people generates high revenue return potential and production value. So I think every other producer is turning to reality TV shows nowadays.

For starters, people enjoy watching competitive shows, and the majority of these shows have extremely high TRP ratings. Second, these shows are less expensive to create and more profitable because producers earn money from text messaging and phone calls in addition to commercials.
