Science, Holidays (IELTS Speaking Part-1)

In IELTS Speaking Part-1 Science, Holidays topics, there will be a Question & Answer session between the candidate and the examiner around one of these topics, 5-6 questions at most.

The examiner will also ask some general questions at the beginning about the candidate, for instance, about where you live, where you work, study etc.

1. Do you like science?

Yes, I am extremely fond of Science. Science is the building block of our today’s modern world and from a very young age, I have always questioned the world. Science almost always gave me the answers to my never-ending torrent of queries, and it continues to do so. Having answers to my questions compelled me to want to know more. In short, science fed and continues to feed my curiosity.

2. When did you start to learn about science?

My Science adventure started when I was in school. I conducted hundreds of exciting practical science experiments there. Whoever said that school is not exciting has never attended a proper science lesson!

3. Which science subject is interesting to you?

My dearest science subject is ‘Physics’. I think there’s nothing that explains nature better than Physics. This subject is for anyone who has an enquiring mind, passion for understanding how things work, and versatile ideas.

4. What kinds of interesting things have you done with science?

I have done number of things with science. As I remember, once I made a food science project to transform drinks into semi-solid balls that pop in your mouth. The technique is called spherification and it is part of a larger food science trend called molecular gastronomy— but we just called it yummy science!

1. Where did you go for your last holiday?

I went to Ladakh on my most recent holiday. Last month, when the COVID restrictions were eased, we head straight to the mountains to experience the stroll along the world’s highest saltwater lake- the enchanting Pangong Tso. Ladakh is altogether a different realm within India.

2. Do you like holidays? Why?

Absoultely! Who doesn’t ???? Holidays give you opportunity to break the monotony of life and do something new. Going on holiday can give you a fresh wave of motivation and the strength to keep your life moving forward when you come back..

3. Which public holiday do you like the best?

My favourite public holiday is Christmas. I like it because it has the wintery feel and all the kindness in the air.The holiday spirit is just mindblowing!. All the decorations, trees, and lights make me feel cheered up. The best part of Christmas is that my family reunite and celebrates the eve.

4. What do you do on holidays?

Holidays are supposed to be fundays! I usually like to explore new places, try different cuisines, and shop grocery items on holidays.
