IELTS Speaking part 1 Pets and animals answers

1. What’s your favourite animal? Why?

My best-loved animal is a dog of course. This is because being in the same environment with your beloved dog can cheer you up when you feel low and have a companion to confide in. Unlike humans, dogs respond with all their love and affection and most importantly they would never harm us with malicious intentions.

Out of all the animal species in India, the Bengal tiger is probably the most famous. They are the largest cat species in the world; capable of killing animals over twice their size. In addition, Cows are considered holy and as such, the animal is worshipped and decorated during Indian festivals.

3. Have you ever had a pet before?

I had a pet when I was a child. It was a Pomeranian dog named – ‘Harry’. We together made great companions and showered unconditional love, come rain or shine. Unfortunately, he died 2 years ago and I miss him so-so much.

4. Where do you prefer to keep your pet, indoors or outdoors?

It’s good to keep a pet indoors most of the time. Dogs specifically are the kind of animals that feel unhappy if they are forced to keep outside. They are highly social pets and seek continuous interaction with their masters. Moreover, the research found that animals that are kept outside, are more stressed and develop behaviour problems such as barking, digging, escaping, and being overly aggressive.

Topic #2 – Headphones

Following are the probable set of IELTS Speaking part – 1 questions that may be asked around Headphones:

  1. Do you use headphones?
  2. What type of headphones do you use?
  3. When would you use headphones?
  4. In what conditions, you won’t use headphones?
ielts speaking part 1 headphones answers

1. Do you use headphones?

Yes..in fact, I am an audiophile. As such, I am in love with my headphones! They command the outside world to be silent. So whenever I feel like not talking to anyone I simply plug in my headphones and listen to music.

2. What type of headphones do you use?

Well.. I have wireless Over-the-hear headphones. I feel they are the best kind of earbuds for professional recording. You can get them for listening to music at work and benefit from noise-cancellation. Over-the-ear headphones are top-class in gaming as well.

3. When would you use headphones?

Mostly, I use headphones while sweating at the gym or commuting to work. During bedtime, I used to listen slow and classical music that can help me sleep.

4. In what conditions, you won’t use headphones?

As you know, any distraction while driving can be fatal. So I won’t be using headphones while steering a car or bike, that’s for sure! Another condition is apparently, when I have the company of my kinfolks. With family or friends, using headphones and isolate ourself is certainly inappropriate.

Topic #3 – Shoes

Following are the probable set of IELTS Speaking part – 1 questions that may be asked around Shoes:

  1. Do you like buying shoes? How often?
  2. Have you ever bought shoes online?

ielts speaking part 1 topic shoes answers

1. Do you like buying shoes? How often?

I definitely like buying shoes for me and my family. I often go to supermarket every month located within hailing distance to my home, and purchase some new trendy footwear for the whole family.

2. Have you ever bought shoes online?

Yes, I do a lot of shopping online. Recently, I bought Nike Zoom running shoes on Amazon. It was a marvellous experience. I think on websites like Amazon/Flipkart …Convenience is the biggest perk. Where else can you comfortably shop at midnight while in your pajamas?

There are no queues to wait in or cashiers to track down to help you with your purchases, and you can do your shopping in minutes.

3. How much money do you usually spend on shoes?

Well, on an average, I spend somewhere around 1500-3000 INR on my footwear. Actually, I look for some doorbuster deals and never misses any Black Friday’s ever.

4. Which do you prefer, fashionable shoes or comfortable shoes?

Comfortable shoes are always preferred over stylish shoes. Fashionable shoes undoubtedly look eye-grabbing from a distance but as it’s said the devil is in the details; they mostly lack cushioning and comfort. On the other hand, comfortable shoes are affordable with a great fit.
