Introducing a time

Failure occurs almost everyday, in school, jobs, household work, and within families. It is inevitable, irritating and causes pessimism. So today, I would take this opportunity to talk about a tale of my failure despite repeated attempts.

When it was?

It was in the month of August, 2020 that I first started planning about my dream project but all my dreams were doomed in no time. It became difficult for me to handle the emotional fallout. Then, I talked to my uncle and he helped me find a way forward.

What you tried?

I am a passionate web developer so I tried to build an online shopping website to compete with the likes of Amazon & Flipkart. Back in college, I topped almost every computer programming competition so that’s why it was hard to digest a failure.

Why it was not very successful?

To tell you frankly, I failed because of my own lackadaisical/lethargic approach. I chose a web hosting company with no reliable security layers to secure my website. The website first got crashed in the same month I started. Somehow I backed up my content but it was too late. The whole website was affected by a malware(virus) so I call it a day, and decided to shut it down.

How you felt about it?

I felt it was end of the world for me. My spirit was down in the dumps. I was disheartened when I fortunately met my uncle who is now a successful online retailer. After listening to his story of failures, I got inspired to relaunch my website. You would be happy to know that, presently, my shopping website is live on internet and serving the essential needs of people in the Tri-city.

In the end I would just say that… Failure can show you that you are tougher than you think and you can handle more than you imagine. All we need to do is embrace the failure as a path to success.

My definition of success is having a predetermined plan and executing it successfully over a long period of time. It means having a long term vision and then having a lot of fun doing the plan. Both are equally important! There is no point in toiling for something which has no opportunities. Once you see the present or future opportunity and you work for it, you are bound to succeed.

No, I don’t think people would be happier! In fact, life without a goal is like a race without a finish line, and you are running nowhere. Goals bring us clarity of vision and define the purpose of life.
