Sample Answer 1

Introducing a fitness activity

  • For most people, staying fit has always been on their bucket list. Many people struggle with staying fit over time, but the benefits of fitness definitely outweigh the costs.
  • So today, I would love to talk about an activity that I do to get myself in shape.

What the activity is?

  • Whenever I gained weight; I quickly stumbled upon Dance. It’s an activity that offers upbeat and inventive exercise and promotes a more healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Dance is sociable, invigorating, and life-affirming, and it provides a plethora of health advantages ranging from joint flexibility to mental well-being.
  • But above all, Dance is an easy activity which is suitable for people of all levels of fitness. That is the reason why dance is one of my favourites.

When and where do you usually do it?

  • Not everyone has the time or money to go to the dance school and there is no need to.
  • And I believe doing this fitness activity at home can have the same benefits as doing it in a professional setting.
  • In fact, I’ve joined 6 A.M dance online fitness classes that have a focus on performing cardiovascular exercises through dance steps.

How do you do it?

  • My online dance classes focus on different elements of physical fitness. For instance, I do the Bhangra to improve balance, coordination, and flexibility while Cardio-focused dance classes like Zumba are combined with strength training and stretching to work on my muscular strength.
  • My dance & fitness instructor plans easy-to-follow choreography that keeps me moving in an effort to keep me fit.
  • I usually wear comfortable athletic clothes to constantly adapt to different dance postures.

Explain why it can keep you fit?

  • Firstly, dance stimulates happiness endorphins in my brain to alleviate day-to-day worries and concerns.
  • Secondly, many dance styles require lifting, leaping and prancing — all of which require a muscular drive that I can build up over time.
  • Thirdly, dance exercise offers an easy and enjoyable way to burn off unwanted calories. I can easily burn between 200 and 400 calories through a half-hour of salsa dancing, gliding across a ballroom floor or tapping my toes.
  • Last but not least, I can control cholesterol levels in the blood, as well as set my blood sugar levels by dancing.
  • So for all these good reasons, I think Dance is something that can keep me fit.

Concluding the Cue Card

  • In the end, I would just like to say that Studio fitness classes can be pricey and they may not always work with your schedule.
  • Home-based workouts are a great option if money or time are the barriers.

Sample Answer 2

The secret mantra of a happy life is to maintain one’s health and fitness. To stay healthy, I engage in a variety of activities such as morning walks, yoga, cycling, and so on. But I’d like to focus on the 15-minute morning stroll that I take every day.

So I get up early in the morning and go jogging with my grandfather. He’s never skipped a morning walk in his life. That’s why he’s in such good shape. His key to good health is, in reality, a morning walk.

I joined him approximately six months ago and have been pretty consistent since then. In the park next to our house, there is a running track that is bustling with activity in the early morning hours. Throughout our walk, my grandfather keeps me entertained with his amusing anecdotes.

In the last seven months, I’ve lost about ten kilogrammes. All because of this new workout regimen I started. It also improves blood circulation and keeps me active all day.

So a morning stroll is what I do to stay fit.
