It’s really difficult to lead a respectable life without a car. I’m fortunate that my parents gave me a car to celebrate my graduation. In actuality, I was surprised by it. They had already hinted at this to me. I’m overjoyed about this unexpected present.

The vehicle was a Mahindra Thar. It has some unique features and is an off-road automobile. I had a distinct experience while driving the car. Although its rideability is what I most appreciate, its force was excellent. This vehicle, in my opinion, is distinctive and cannot be compared to other 4*4 cars.

This is something extraordinary, as evidenced by the engine and exhaust noises, which are up to par. Because of its cutting-edge satellite navigation technology, the travels are exceptional. I adore the way the car’s inside is decorated, as well as the giant wheels, among other things. This made me really appreciative of my parents.

I received my degree from the University of Delhi in December of last year. I studied economics, and on the graduation exam, and I received the highest GPA. So, my entire family, including my parents, was ecstatic. Dad advised me to work hard in the classroom before taking the exam.

He also advised me to achieve the highest possible score since he wanted me to handle his business. Additionally, he hinted at a surprise. I put a lot of effort into my studies, but I was unsure of the surprise. After spending roughly 8-10 hours a day studying, I finally managed to achieve success. I learned of my success on the day when the results were released. While I was en route to the top university, one of my friends told me the score. I told my father about the situation. He requested a prompt return home so he could enjoy the surprise.

Finally, I reached home at around 5.30 pm. My dad was standing on the porch and the brand new car was expecting its youngest rider. Dad handed me over the keys and said that the car was a surprise. My mum was standing aside and her face was shining with joy for my grand success. Dad was happy too.

I was delighted by the surprise for a number of reasons. I found it really challenging to use public transportation to travel to various locations. Additionally, even though I was saving money for a car, it was challenging for me to amass enough cash for a brand-new vehicle. I therefore requested dad’s backing for my initiative to purchase a car.

So that’s all about a Mahindra Thar that surprised me!

Unexpected things happen in life all the time, both good and bad. But I want to talk about something very different today. I took part in a Math Olympiad when I was in the tenth grade.

I’m good in math, but not good enough to compete for an Olympiad medal. I merely took part for the certificate of participation. In any case, I had a school exam the day of the Olympiad for which I had to study all night.

The Olympiad took place after my school exam from 2 to 5 PM. After my school exam, I felt so exhausted that I wanted to skip the event.

But I went forward with it since my teachers told me I could. In that sleepy state, I did my best.

I only completed 40 of the 100 questions on the multiple-choice test. There was no negative grading, so I just picked a random answer for the remaining questions.

I learned that I had won a Silver medal from the Olympiad organisers a few days later. I initially thought my pals were making a joke because they knew how I was feeling that day.

After the call, I started to think about which of my friends was at fault and how I would respond. To be really honest, I had a mental picture of who it was.

But the next day, my class instructor let me know that I had placed first in the overall exam competition. I was extremely shocked. So I acted as though I had known it would happen, though. I kept it hidden for a few days.
I did, however, value the consideration and regard from my peers. They believed I was a math pro. But as time went on, my happiness eventually gave way to guilt because I felt unworthy. Last but not least, when I told my friends that I thought I just happened to get lucky by guesswork, they didn’t believe me. They misunderstood my modesty for haughtiness.

Thank you for providing this thought-provoking cue card topic. I’ll be more than pleased to share a story of a time when I was genuinely astonished and overjoyed. That happened on a day that was truly very special to me.

Anyway, that happened when I was a university senior, which was around five years ago. My dearest uncle, who adored me with all of his heart, was at that time a member of the Red Cross team and I hadn’t seen him in nearly 10 years. But that year, all of a sudden, we learned that my uncle would visit for a few days to observe one of our most important religious holidays. It goes without saying that after hearing that news, I felt so ecstatic and pleased that I thought I was literally flying over the moon.

But sadly, none of my joy and enthusiasm lasted very long because a few days later, we learned that he wouldn’t be able to celebrate with us because of some unforeseen circumstances. Although I was really hoping that my uncle would somehow miraculously appear to celebrate with us, everyone in my family handled the upsetting news well because, of course, it wasn’t the first time that such a thing had happened.

Anyway, I suppose God heard my plea and decided to grant me my exact request. In actuality, the evening before the start of our holy event, my uncle did visit us. We simply could not believe our own eyes when we first met him.

The fact that I could finally meet my dear uncle after all these years made me quite pleased, so it was undoubtedly a very pleasant surprise. The fact that it occurred on the night of a holiday that we all look forward to celebrating with our families regardless of how far apart we actually are from one another added to my happiness.

I have a wonderful surprise to share with you. I’ll describe what it was, where it occurred, and when it occurred, and then I’ll explain why the unexpected event made me so joyful.

The initial surprise came in the form of a letter delivered through my mailbox by the post office. I would need to go pick it up from the postal depot because the letter stated that they had attempted to deliver a package to me but were unable to do so because I was away when they called. I was curious. It wasn’t my birthday, I hadn’t made any online purchases, and I wasn’t hoping for anything particularly exciting to arrive in the mail. I was unsure about what it might be. I picked up the package the following morning by going to the post office with identification to show who I was. It was a big bix that was packaged in black and white plastic.

I didn’t open it till I got back home. A collection of seemingly unrelated but endearing gifts may be found inside. They included a pair of angora-wool socks, a bottle of French perfume, a tiny notepad, and an incredibly thin pen that could fit inside a diary or notebook! There was only a typed letter that said, “I saw this and thought of you,” but there was still nothing to identify who it was from.

It was an entirely unexpected gift that was given to cheer me up from someone, somewhere. So this surprise made me happy, not only because it was an unexpected gift of lovely things, but also because it reminded me of how many friends I had around me who cared about me at a difficult time.
